On the 26th of July SU organisied a National Seminar: 

  • To increase knowledge of researchers, lecturers, and students in terms of sustainable tourism, ecotourism, community based tourism, pro-poor tourism, rural tourism;
  • To increase understanding about tourism market in Laos;
  • To increase awareness of researchers, lecturers, and students at SU and government authorities in Luang Prabang in terms of climate change and its impacts mainly on tourism industry;
  • To learn more how to adapt to climate change;
In total 39 trainees attended the event from faculties and offices within SU; and relvant provincial departments participating in the event as well as REACT project partners from NUoL and NIER.
