REACT Training workshop to create a climate change awareness and to increase understanding about adaptation and mitigation for researchers, lecturers and students took place on the 6th of July, 2018 at Souphanouvong University.
A training workshop to Increase Understanding of SU REACT Unit and Research for Researchers, Lecturers and Students took place at Souphanouvong University on the 18th of May, 2018.
The First National Seminar on “Climate change: current status and future plan in relation to research” had been organized by REACT partners from Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry on June 23rd, 2018.
Target participants:
- HEI undergraduate students, post graduate
- Researchers, and lecturers from host institutions
- Policymakers/managers from National level
- Local authorities (DoE, PDAFF, and community association)
REACT’s second Training of Trainers module “Tackling Climate Change” took place in Kampong Cham, Cambodia, from March 6th to 8th, 2018, hosted by University Heng Samrin Thbongkhmon (UHST).
On December 12, 2017, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies of the HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMC-USSH) held a seminar entitled “Climate Change: Global Environmental Crisis in the World-System” delivered by Prof. R. Scott Frey, Director of the Center for the Study of Social Justice, Department of Sociology, University of Tennessee (USA).
REACT partners from National University of Laos, Souphanoubong University, National Institute for Economic Research (NIER) and Ho Chi Minh University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in a Cluster Meeting on November 29th in Yangon, Myanmar.
